Medium soda fired bowl
A delicate and sturdy soda fired bowl with beautiful form, fired in a 12 hour firing tended to by the artist.
Ceramics is an art form in which both physical form and surface have to be considered. Leah has thought about this extensively, and developed her ability to create beautiful form by first working without glaze for years during her graduate work, focusing fully on form. She began pursuing soda firing as the surface of her work after she had created the shapes she wanted, believing that surface should follow form.
Thrown + soda-fired by the artist in Berkeley.
